What are Indivisible Eugene-Springfield Action Teams?

The Indivisible Eugene-Springfield operates through Action Teams, small groups of members focused on specific issues. Each team researches and takes action on their own chosen topic, helping us address a wide range of challenges more effectively.

Members’ Role

Members can choose how they contribute to their Action Team. This may include:

  • Tracking and discussing relevant policies and decisions
  • Connecting with local organizations already working on the issue
  • Identifying and organizing meaningful actions the team can take
  • Participating in actions organized by the Action Team

Say No To Amazon Action Team

WE BOYCOTT AMAZON! | WE SAY: NO AMAZON MEGA-WAREHOUSE IN EUGENE! | WE SUPPORT LOCAL & ETHICAL BUSINESSES!

The “Say No to Amazon” Action Team is focused on boycotting Amazon and preventing Amazon from building a mega-warehouse in Eugene.

Amazon presents itself as a benign customer fulfillment company, but in reality, it’s in collusion with Trump’s fascist regime by supporting the development of systems that allow the U.S. government to target those whom the regime has deemed undesirable: immigrants, trans people, people of color, Muslims, activists, and many others. Amazon fuels mass deportations using Amazon Web Services and provides cloud technology to the Israeli government for its genocide in Gaza. Amazon is also moving toward a monopoly, undermining local economies, and is engaged in many other unethical practices.

Amazon has insinuated itself into millions of lives – but that also gives us leverage, because so many of us have direct, often daily, contact with them so our influence is also direct!  Let’s demonstrate Nonviolent Mass Non-cooperation! Join us in saying NO to Amazon!

Street Arts & Theater

Are you passionate about art as a tool for activism? Do you want to bring creativity, humor, and visual impact to our movement? The Street Arts & Theater Action Tesm is a space for those interested in “Artivism” – the visual components of protests, rallies, and direct actions. From making protest signs to organizing creative events with street theater, this group is for anyone who wants to use creativity to inspire and engage. Whether you’re interested in painting, video, costumes and props, acting, dancing, music or writing clever skits or messages – together, we will make our movement impossible to ignore. Storytelling with an edge can entertain and inform. Let’s use it.

Election Action Team

This group follows elections around the U.S. and works towards increased voter turnout in support of select candidates and ballot measures that advance democratic aims and restrain authoritarian forces. The focus is on competitive elections. We reach out to voters in several ways, including but not limited to postcards & letters to voters and fundraising for grassroots groups. During election campaigns, we host house parties and invite all IES members to join us in our efforts.

Truth Brigade Action Team

Truth Brigade is a community of grassroots truth-tellers working together to disrupt the flow of misinformation and disinformation, both on and offline. The goals are to:

  • Use positive and authentic messages
  • Persuade others to pursue the truth.
  • Prompt critical thinking
  • Learn how to have respectful conversations when we disagree
  • Discover commonality with others.

The group will meet over Zoom for trainings on effective messaging strategies and tools that work!

Reach Out to Red States Action Team

The Reach Out to Red States team will connect with Indivisible groups, and like-minded organizations in red states. Our initial focus will be to support these groups in organizing meetings with their Federal Republican Senators/Representatives to discuss their votes on the “One Big Beautiful Bill” Act. By working together across red and blue states, we can amplify the truth through coordinated efforts in the media and on social platforms.

Turn Red Voters to Blue! Action Team

In this divided political landscape, how do we persuade Red-leaning voters to vote Blue in 2026? This Action Team will focus on engaging voters outside of our usual circles – those who may not yet agree with our concerns about this administration. We will explore messaging that connects through shared values and common concerns, with a focus on short, thought-provoking questions and slogans. We will take action using visible, community based tactics such as messaging on our cars, sign waving at high-traffic intersections, car parades and more.

One Million Rising Action Team

We’re living through a time of authoritarian breakthrough and protecting the future of our democracy will require bold, collective action. The One Million Rising Action Team is part of a national movement to train one million people in mass strategic noncooperation, building people power that cannot be ignored. Together, we’ll study, learn, and organize trainings on Mass Noncooperation, while exploring ways to take action locally in coordination with Indivisible National and partner organizations.

Women's Rights Action Team

For too long, the concepts of true justice and equity for women have remained on the margins of the government, the media, political discourse, and even social activists’ organizations. This is evidenced by everything from the country’s inability to pass something as neutral as The Equal Rights Amendment, to the rolling back of 50 years of the right to choose in health care. The Women’s Rights Action Team exists to work towards informing people about the threats to and needs of women, and to support the efforts of people and organizations that are working to create justice and equity for women. Come join us to:

  • Talk about what is important to you
  • Contact lawmakers and other policy makers
  • Make connections with other groups furthering women’s rights
  • And more!
